Today we walked down The Strip with The Chef taking photographs and me shooting video. It was a very warm day. We went inside the New York New York Hotel but weren’t too impressed with the interior, Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, and The Venetian Resort again, which I think is our favourite.
After crossing the canal bridge on the way out of the Venetian there was a promotional display from the Tussaud’s waxworks museum. There were two waxwork models there, one a young white chap I didn’t recognise and had never heard of, the second was a very life-like model of Whoopi Goldberg in a dark trouser suit. There was a chap there with coiffure hair who seemed to be a representative with the display. I popped over and said how very lifelike the models were to which he agreed, I said “There’s just one problem (pointing to 'Whoopie Goldberg') – I thought Stevie Wonder wore dark glasses".
We had bought a packed lunch and a bottle of water each in an attempt to reduce the amount of junk food we would need to eat, and sat on some steps near the Venetian Hotel to eat it. Before long other couples sat down and ate their lunch with us.
It was a tiring day and we had planned to go back out and do it all again in the evening for some night time photographs and videos, but as we hadn’t used the double-decker buses running up and down The Strip to rest our legs from time to time, we were too tired to go back out again in the heat.
